How to Record your Screen on iOS 8 in 5 Easy Steps

If you’re anything like me, you enjoy recording your screen on iOS to show people how to do certain things on their devices. But finding the perfect app that does what you want can be difficult, which is why I’ve put together this guide on how to record your screen on iOS 8 in 5 easy steps. These are my tried and true methods, so give them a try and I hope they help you out!

Learn how to record audio with QuickTime Player
It's a quick and easy process and doesn't require any special technical knowledge or expertise. You can record audio from any app, including Facebook, WhatsApp, Spotify, Skype, FaceTime and even QuickTime Player. The only prerequisite is that the app must use the iOS Share sheet for all its sharing options.

Step 1: Start Recording Video
Step 1. Press the big red circle at the bottom right corner of the screen and make sure it says Tap here to record before tapping on it. You can also press this icon while recording video or press once after taking a screenshot if you want, depending on what you're trying to do.

Step 2: Set Your Own File Name
Now that the recording is complete, you'll need to enter a name for the recording file. You'll find this near the bottom of the screen where it says File Name. Tap it and type something that describes what you recorded. You can use any word or words, but make sure not to put spaces between them or include any symbols other than periods (.), dashes (-), underscores (_), or dollar signs ($).

Step 3: Stop, Edit and Save
Choose Share at the bottom of the screen, then select Record Video and click Start Recording. You'll see a timer counting down while the video is recording. Once you're done recording, double-click on the video preview to open it up in the Photos app. The video will automatically play back when you do this.

Step 4: Use Sharing Options
Now you can select a screen recording and share the content immediately. The great thing about this is that you are allowed to upload any video up to 30 minutes long with this feature! You can also change settings by going into your phone's Settings -> General -> Software Update. If you have an option to use Camera+, tap on it, and make sure that Pause when switching apps is turned off for optimal use.

Step 5 : View, Open or Share
Once you are done recording the screen, tap on the recording and then you will be prompted to view it again or share it as a video. You can also tap Save Video option if you want it saved onto your phone so that you can upload it elsewhere. You can also swipe up or down to go back one step. If there is nothing else left for you do, just click back button at the top left corner of your screen.

Bonus Tip! - Pin a button to the Control Center, so you can quickly access QuickTime Player at any time.
With a tap of the home button, you can be ready to capture all of your screen's content with a click.
Settings, scroll until see Controls Center. (Scroll down and turn Control Center off if it is already enabled).
- Under the Control Center option, scroll to the bottom and select Customize Controls. (Doing this will take you back to your Home screen).
- Scroll up until you find QuickTime Player.
