How to turn off those pesky Facebook notifications

Facebook notifications are an essential part of the Facebook experience, but they’re also one of the most annoying features. They can pop up at inconvenient times and distract you from what you’re doing, and they could even be in violation of your company’s social media policy. If you want to avoid these issues, then follow these steps to get Facebook notifications under control.

Go to your account settings
There are many settings within your account settings that can help customize your experience on Facebook. You can adjust the privacy of your posts, edit which notifications you receive, choose what content you see on the site, and so much more. Navigate through these options by clicking on the More button at the bottom right-hand corner of your screen. Once you've made all desired changes, scroll to the bottom of this page and click Save Changes. Now you're ready for whatever life throws at you!

Click on Apps in the left column
Sign in, then click on the upper right-hand corner to bring up a dropdown menu of your Facebook settings. From there, scroll down and choose Settings. Next, hover over Account Setting and click Notifications. From here you can adjust what notifications come through on your screen when you log in to your account.

Scroll down and click on Apps you use
Click Account Settings at top of screen.

The options for how you want your Facebook notification alerts are different depending on what type of device you're using. If you're using a phone, here's what you need to do

If you're feeling like your social media notifications are driving you crazy, it's time to reclaim some of your control over what pops up on your screen. To start, head over to the Notifications section in Settings. From there, click the specific notification type (message, app activity) that you want to adjust and make sure you turn the toggle switch off. This will stop alerts from popping up on your phone or laptop every time someone interacts with that post or updates their profile information.

Select Notifications from the left column
Facebook is a great way to stay connected with friends and family, but when you get too many notifications it can start taking over your day. So if you're getting a little bit too much contact with the social media giant, it's time to put your foot down.

Deselect what you don't want
Open your Settings from the navigation menu. Select Blocking on the left. Go down and find Notifications. Click it, then click Edit. Check Do not allow, then click Save Changes. Open your settings again, go to Blocked apps, and click Edit at the top of the page.

Click on Save Changes
1. Click on the down arrow at the top right of your screen and click Settings. 2. In the left sidebar, click on Apps, then select your app by typing its name in the search bar, or clicking Create new. 3.
